The Heartbeat of Sport charity bike ride got underway this morning, albeit to a bit of a bad start. On his way to the starting line, Adam Robinson managed to get not one, but two punctures in his tyre meaning that the boys had a bit of a staggered start to their trip.

They are underway now though and stand in cyclist Pete Emmett, who is taking the place of the injured Scott Murrell, should be keeping the lads happy with his usual string of jokes and quips.

The boys are planning to have reached Bridlington by 1600hrs to get some well deserved rest before taking on the return leg at the same time tomorrow morning.

If you haven’t donated to the lads for their bike ride yet, it is not too late to do so. Simply visit our donations page and from there you can make a donation.
